Installation Procedures of Three Kinds of Computer Scanners I
Scanners can convert written materials or physical objects such as pictures, photos, films and manuscripts that want to be saved into pictures or PDF format and input them into computers. They are important equipment for paperless work. So how to install the scanner? There are different types of scanners and different methods of installation. Let's take a look at the installation procedures of the three types of scanners.
Three scanner installation procedures
1. Install USB Scanner
The installation of this scanner is very simple, and users with little experience can quickly install the USB scanner in a very short time. No matter what type or brand of scanner, its specific installation method is almost the same, and it usually follows the following steps: firstly, connect the hardware: insert the square USB connector into the scanner first, and then connect the scanner with the USB interface of the computer using the USB data cable; then check whether the scanner fixes the CCD scanning element with a lock: if so, everyone should unlock the scanner and plug in the scanner and the computer, and then the computer will automatically detect the USB scanner in the current system and complete the installation of the scanner driver and configuration software according to the installation prompt on the screen.
After installation, you can use the editing software included with the scanner to bring up the application interface of the scanning software, and then you can start using the scanner. In addition, when installing this type of scanner, attention must also be paid to opening the computer system connected to the scanner, entering the CMOS setting interface, opening the BIOS system, and ensuring the opening of the universal serial bus setting. At the same time, after the scanner is installed, it is better to restart the computer to ensure the normal use of various functions of the scanner.
2. Install common scanner
When installing this type of scanner, hardware should be connected first, one end of the scanner connection line should be connected to the port marked "Port A" on the back of the scanner, and then the other end of the scanner connection line should be connected to the LPT print port in the computer. After connecting the hardware, first turn on the power of the scanner and turn on the scanner. After the scanner starts for a few seconds, turn on the power of the computer to start the computer system, and then the computer will also detect the scanner connected to the system. Then you can install the scanner driver, and put the CD of the scanner driver into the CD drive to install the screen prompt to complete the driver installation.
After the installation, the driver will remind everyone to test the connection of the current scanner. If the scanner is completely installed, a prompt screen will be displayed on the computer screen to tell everyone that the scanner installed in the system has been found. Then everyone can click the OK button in the prompt screen to complete the installation of the scanner driver. Next, you can install the scanning application software that needs to be installed into the computer. After the scanning application software is installed and running, the first thing you need to do is to select the appropriate image source. Then, from the required selection dialog box, select the scanner that has just been installed as the image source of the application software, so that you can input images into the software through the scanner in the future.
